Easing Back in PJ’s
Ok ok, most of us can’t choose to wear PJ’s today to work. I know we’re not alone in feeling a bit fatigued today, but that’s the effect of a great holiday week! I spent most of the week up north and the weather was amazing! We got to spend lots of time out on the lake. We floated in these tubes for hours, and we put-putted around the lake with a drink in these favorite cups of ours. We don’t have to worry about the ice melting as we take our time cruising the lake!
Caitlin had a fun filled weekend in Milwaukee with friends. She got to have several pool days, did some hiking out at beautiful Lapham Peak, and made it down to Summerfest one last time to see Judah and the Lion. She also got this float replaced, after her first one ended up getting popped floating down the river, and the 2.0 version was just as good!
We’re really in the thick of summer and we’re enjoying it to the fullest! Summerfest has ended, which is always a letdown, but Wisconsin has been having some amazing weather and they still have a full schedule of activities going on in our area. They do a Night Market in downtown Milwaukee called the Newaukee Night Market, and they have a ton of vendors set up with lots of food and fun activities to check out.
Hopefully you guys took advantage of the amazing sales going on for the 4th of July, we really can’t beat the prices. Caitlin and I already received the items we ordered from Gap that I mentioned here last week, and everything fits true to size and we’re excited to get some pictures up to show it, especially since we all tend to hesitate when ordering final sale items!
We also got our Asos haul, we are so excited about an upcoming shoot we are doing for those items, plus we had a reader request a post on rompers for long torsos so that will be posted by next week as well! Lots of exciting stuff in the works.
We have had these PJ’s since Mother’s Day and are so glad we finally got to share them. We bought our Mom a fun pair for Mother’s Day and had to get ourselves some as well and seriously no regrets on buying them. They are so lightweight, soft and comfy – they are everything we want in PJ’s.
Plus the pants are also plenty long, which is always a concern. We’re lucky enough to have a mom and grandma who both sew, so we never had to worry about PJ pants length, when ours were custom made. We pretty much don’t think of wearing pants for sleeping in the summer, but these are lightweight enough that you can definitely get away with it. If you haven’t updated your PJ’s recently, you should definitely consider these as a low cost option.
Side note, we all have been passing this book around, and would totally recommend it. It’s based on a true story of adopting gone wrong.
No more do we have to settle for ill-fitting out of date PJ’s, and that is worth getting excited about! Tell us, what is your favorite PJ option? Making do with shorts, or capri length? Have you learned to sew to make your own?
