I‘m Not Blushing, You’re Blushing

We’re keeping it casual over here this week as much as possible, with our energy levels still lagging. It is so tough to transition back to a five-day work week, especially in the summer. Let’s all agree to a 4 day work week, shall we? We went into the Apple store last night and upgraded our phones (iPhone 8 Plus for me and the iPhone X for Caitlin) and we are super excited about that! Caitlin just ordered this charger, hopefully it works well. If you guys have any suggestions about wireless chargers, let us know please! We’re new to using the wireless chargers.

Maybe you caught it in our Instagram stories but we had a fun time trying to figure out this Asos jumpsuit I ordered. It is VERY difficult to get on your body, impossible for us. Probably don’t order your regular size, because the upper part of it needs to fit over your hips (unless you are straight up and down), plus the length once we had it semi on was not long enough for Caitlin or I. It’s a shame because it is a truly lovely jumpsuit! This is where asos could really benefit from some reviews, but we’re here to help when we can! Stay tuned on Monday for our Romper Roundup that will also include some other jumpsuits we can’t wait to review for you!

This weekend we’re excited to be heading down to Lake Geneva to visit one of our good friends. We will hopefully be getting a weekend guide up on the blog. It is a lovely place to visit with plenty to do, and it’s not too far of a drive from either Milwaukee or Chicago.

Also going on in Milwaukee starting tonight is Bastille Days. Caitlin will be “Storming the Bastille” tonight with thousands of other Milwaukeeans! It’s another annual festival that gives us a reason to celebrate all things French, including a mini replica of the Eiffel Tower and some seriously delicious foods and it wouldn’t be a French Festival without wine! Bastille Days is also free, so if you’re looking for something to do and not spend money you can at least head down and get some delicious smells!

Also, we’re only 4 days out from Prime Day, and they are already putting out some killer deals for anyone who’s been watching and waiting! They had a bunch of workout gear from Starter over 60% off. We didn’t even know they were still in business, but with sports bras for $7.50 and bike shorts for $7.50 I welcome them back! They also have this really cool travel pillow we’d love to try out! Today they have (insert links with deals of the day). Has anyone tried out audible yet? I’m more of a purist and want to actually read the pages of the book, but I have friends who love listening to stories, especially in their cars! They have a great deal on trying Audible for Prime Day! Let us know if you try it and like it!

Or if you’re more like me and want to read the book, they also have some great deals on their Kindle Unlimited Program. It is so worth it, you have hundreds of books at your fingertips to choose from and they are practically giving it away at 3 months for $.99…. don’t think you can beat that deal. Also, I updated our reading page – if anyone is looking for new book recommendations. I have the books we used for both book clubs linked as well.

Also, can’t forget Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, with everyone shouting it from the rooftop. We walked through our local Nordstroms on Tuesday and shared some of our finds on Instagram Stories. If you aren’t following along on Instagram, just click the widget in the right sidebar! We try to share some extras on there!

Shop brand-new arrivals at super-sale prices at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Topshop, Ted Baker London and more. Sale ends August 5. Prices go up August 6. Free shipping, pick up in store and more. Free shipping, pick up in store and more.

Onto today’s outfits, we’ve got some tall casual blush options. Blush and Pink in general have really stood the test of time, ever since Pantone picked it as the color of the year. My closet has readily absorbed all the blush options I’ve found and it shows no signs of stopping!

My top is an easy to wear peplum and it is tall sizing. I ordered my normal size for cotton t-shirts and it fits well. It seems like a flowy cut, and it could be slightly longer with where the peplum starts but I didn’t care enough to worry about that! I paired it with some distressed denim and it’s an out the door outfit that will last you the whole day! There’s still a great sale going on at Gap with prices up to 50% off and an additional 20% off with code MORE, which makes this versatile shirt under $20!

Caitlin found this cute striped bodysuit from Fashion Union via Asos. They are one of the brands that we enjoy seeing on Asos, especially as their sizing seems to be consistent and it has been long enough, even for me at 6’4.  The ruffle detail is perfect and the ribbing adds another subtle detail, plus it’s also on sale for under $30. She grabbed her distressed denim for a great mixture of girly and edgy.

Is anyone else all about blush/pink? Or are you hoping it will die off quickly? Sound off below!
