We can’t believe we’re on Volume 7 of RTFF! Time flies when you’re finding deals. Today we’re back with the specific items we’ve been shopping over the last week or two. It’s incredibly easy for us to gloss over the less romantic aspects of our closets, aka our work wardrobe. So sometimes they get a little worn down or dated as we reach for the fun casual pieces where it’s easy to spend money. You deserve to have a fun, functional wardrobe for your job, as it’s where you spend a huge chunk of your day! So with that in mind, Caitlin did a work pants haul from Asos and hit the jackpot!

Work Pants Haul

Caitlin ordered these in a variation of sizing. The first navy wide leg pair she got in 10. They are true to size, but beware that if you aren’t necessarily longer waisted they might be too high of a rise and cut into her rib cage. Luckily I reaped the rewards of that and snatched them from her. They are definitely long enough for 6’4! The Elasticated Pants she tried in a size 12 but could have gone with a size 10.

The rest of the pants, she ordered all in size 10! That’s been pretty much the standard size for us in work pants from ASOS. Let us know if you have any further questions about sizing/fit for their pants. You can’t go wrong with ASOS if you need updated workwear!

Main Line Wins

Asos

As we’re constantly scrolling through Asos new arrivals page, we sometimes happen across pieces we love and aren’t their tall options. T-shirts and midi skirts are a pretty safe bet for you to snag if you see one you love and must have, like the below!

Express

We love wearing skirts, especially as the weather turns warmer. Even better, is a silky slip skirt. She grabbed these two colors in a Large. They’re unlined, so very lightweight!

Caitlin tried a blue pair of wide leg pants from Express; hoping to share them here, but they didn’t work well. So while returning in store, she happened upon this three quarter length sleeve blazer and had to snatch it up. It is an oversized fit and she got it in a size XL. Talk about the perfect on trend polka dot piece you can wear everywhere!

White Denim

You know by now that we don’t think you should only wear white jeans within the confines of Summer! However, we’re thwarted by the messy weather we experience in the Winter months of Wisconsin. So I do ascribe to that unwritten rule of not really messing with white jeans when there’s a higher rate of kicking up whatever is on the sidewalk/ground. Now is the time I’m shopping for updated white denim and we’re both unofficially following the rules of snatching ALL the colors of the stretch curvy mom jeans offered at American Eagle. Coming in close second, the stretch curvy skinny jeans are a must have. Plus, jeans for under $40?? Sign us up for reasonable curve fitting denim!

Let us know in the comments if you’re shopping for anything in particular and we can help you find! We’ve got a weekend full of shooting for the blog, and celebrating Caitlin’s birthday! Hope you’re doing something you enjoy as well. Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday Eve! Jenilee and I are both anxiously trying to make it through the workday so we can attend the Nathaniel Rateliff concert tonight. I’ve been feeling extremely blessed today, that I seem to always have something to look forward to. I said to our brother last week something along the lines of “it doesn’t take much to excite me.” Which I am more than okay with. Whether it’s a trip to another state, country, or to the lake, dinner with friends, a concert, or plans to go camping, I really feel like I am always looking forward to something. With that being said, I feel the same way every time we get to work with a new company on our blog!

Everything about our shared blog still just makes me giddy and I love sharing that excitement with Jenilee. Sometimes it’s hard when friends or family members don’t share your same zeal for excitement. It can easily be misinterpreted as them not caring or being excited to share an experience or whatever it may be with you, which usually isn’t the case! Thankfully for me, Jenilee and I just can’t seem to get over the excitement of anything blog related. Each time we get a Direct Message or email, we squeal like schoolgirls and could combust with happiness.

This is our second post with some items that we were gifted by Prissy Duck Designs. I told Jenilee I wanted to write about my own pieces because she can’t possibly translate my high level of excitement. She’s definitely excited, but she hasn’t gotten to borrow them to truly know yet! I decided to go with a business look because the majority of my week consists of being in business professional wear. I chose the Sydney Blouse in snake print and the Double Button Pants. And together they are magical. The sleeve length of the blouse exceeds my expectations. The back and shoulder area allows for ease of motion, which can be hard to find with a polyester piece. There was plenty of length in the body allowing me to tuck my blouse in; however, with the nice finished hem I will also be wearing it out sometimes too! I got a size Large in the top which for my bust was perfect.

The pants have just the right amount of stretch making for a comfortable day sitting in my desk chair. I also got a size Large with a 36” inseam and was able to comfortably wear my 3” snakeskin booties without looking like high waters. I loved the idea of drawing the look together with a little pop of snakeskin at my toes. I didn’t realize how hard it has been to truly find high-waisted work pants (aside from our beloved paper-bag waist) in talls. These easily came right up to my belly-button which is right where I like them. Cue me eying up the tan color. They also come in a beautiful blue and yellow. I also want to add that you can get them in a 39” inseam as well, for women around Jenilee’s height.

All in all I was so happy to receive this outfit and can’t wait to remix both the pants and the blouse at work! I am also picturing this blouse with denim for an easy night out look with a leather jacket over the top. And I will continue to feel blessed and lucky each and every time I wear this and any other tall item because change is happening!

One last thing I wanted to touch on before I close out here is that at the end of last year we gauged interest on a “report card” series on the blog and a lot of you put in your request on which companies we should rate. We did track all of that information including how many people requested the same companies and we will be releasing our first one in March! We’re thankful that while we slacked getting it started, we were able to acquaint ourselves with so many new companies that we can now add into this fun series. We are both really excited to start this series, alas something else for us all to look forward to today.

As usual, if you have any questions, comments or concerns on this look or others drop a line below, email us or send a quick DM. We are here to help and today I challenge you to think of 5 things that make you feel blessed and perhaps a way you can make someone else feel blessed.

Good Morning! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Lent has begun and in Wisconsin, that equates to unofficial fish fry season. All of the Catholics who can’t eat red meat have convinced the rest of us to join them every Friday for various favorite fish fry’s. If you don’t live in our fair state, you’re probably wondering what we’re talking about. Really though, it is big business and wildly popular. Online publication, OnMilwaukee published an extensive list of all the suitable fish fry options, check it out here and you’ll know we’re not exaggerating!

Friday night I (Jenilee) went to one of the options on the list and it’s called… Kegel’s. It’s ok, we can all chuckle immaturely. Keeping it real, but not a lot of fish fries impress me. It’s probably because a lot of places just cover up mediocre fish with a fried batter. I can taste right through it, haha. I’ve had a Vietnamese version, and that’s top two, other than our homemade bluegill fish fry we do up north with the fish we catch ourselves. We were drooling over the picture The Buckatabon released of their fish fry, so you know we have to try it as soon as it opens! Check out their Instagram or Facebook page to see for yourself.

But as for the rest of Lent, do you give anything up? We weren’t really raised to do it as necessary. I’ve done it in years past, but I haven’t thought of anything in particular yet for this year. Sound off below if you do, and maybe it will inspire me! I think the point is that whatever you give up (or if you like to add something in) it should point you back towards God. Maybe shopping is a good option to give up temporarily!

In the meantime, we’ve still got some really good stuff coming up to share with you! Like I mentioned in last week’s Real Tall Find’s Friday, we’re in that grey space between Winter and Spring. You want to start brightening up your wardrobe and pulling out your lighter options, but the weather isn’t cooperating yet. For me in particular, I like to get creative with always having some brighter colored sweaters I can reach for as the weather begrudgingly changes.

One of the biggest trends I’ve noticed while online shopping, are the incredible sleeve details. Whether it’s a puff sleeve or volume sleeve, it’s a great time to be alive (if you’re like me). I’m not a super big print person, so I like to add details with the cut of the fabric and/or the color selection. This sweater has both. It’s a romantic ginger color and the puff sleeves are totally my jam, as well as the sweetheart neckline. It’s super soft and a slightly cropped cut on my 6’4 frame. I’m wearing it in a size medium and I’d call it true to size.

As for the jeans, I’ve long been a fan of Express’ denim. They make a perfect curvy cut and don’t leave any gaping at the waistband. I have had a regular blue jean version of button-front jeans from Gap and wanted to try a grey pair as well because I get so much use out of them. They are ankle length, for anyone wondering about the length. I like some of my jeans to be cut a bit shorter for my higher ankle booties. I’m wearing a size 10L. There are very limited sizes left in that specific pair of jeans but if you’re a 00L or 18L it’s your lucky day because they are only $19.97! You can’t beat that for a pair of jeans.

I paired it with my snakeskin booties, which were a Nordstrom Rack find and no longer available. I did find a pair that goes up to size 13 on Amazon and are linked, here. Plus they are under $50, so definitely check them out, if you’ve been on the hunt.

Sound off below, how do you figure out how to dress for this grey season between Winter and Spring?
