Happy Friday Eve! Jenilee and I are both anxiously trying to make it through the workday so we can attend the Nathaniel Rateliff concert tonight. I’ve been feeling extremely blessed today, that I seem to always have something to look forward to. I said to our brother last week something along the lines of “it doesn’t take much to excite me.” Which I am more than okay with. Whether it’s a trip to another state, country, or to the lake, dinner with friends, a concert, or plans to go camping, I really feel like I am always looking forward to something. With that being said, I feel the same way every time we get to work with a new company on our blog!
Everything about our shared blog still just makes me giddy and I love sharing that excitement with Jenilee. Sometimes it’s hard when friends or family members don’t share your same zeal for excitement. It can easily be misinterpreted as them not caring or being excited to share an experience or whatever it may be with you, which usually isn’t the case! Thankfully for me, Jenilee and I just can’t seem to get over the excitement of anything blog related. Each time we get a Direct Message or email, we squeal like schoolgirls and could combust with happiness.
This is our second post with some items that we were gifted by Prissy Duck Designs. I told Jenilee I wanted to write about my own pieces because she can’t possibly translate my high level of excitement. She’s definitely excited, but she hasn’t gotten to borrow them to truly know yet! I decided to go with a business look because the majority of my week consists of being in business professional wear. I chose the Sydney Blouse in snake print and the Double Button Pants. And together they are magical. The sleeve length of the blouse exceeds my expectations. The back and shoulder area allows for ease of motion, which can be hard to find with a polyester piece. There was plenty of length in the body allowing me to tuck my blouse in; however, with the nice finished hem I will also be wearing it out sometimes too! I got a size Large in the top which for my bust was perfect.
The pants have just the right amount of stretch making for a comfortable day sitting in my desk chair. I also got a size Large with a 36” inseam and was able to comfortably wear my 3” snakeskin booties without looking like high waters. I loved the idea of drawing the look together with a little pop of snakeskin at my toes. I didn’t realize how hard it has been to truly find high-waisted work pants (aside from our beloved paper-bag waist) in talls. These easily came right up to my belly-button which is right where I like them. Cue me eying up the tan color. They also come in a beautiful blue and yellow. I also want to add that you can get them in a 39” inseam as well, for women around Jenilee’s height.
All in all I was so happy to receive this outfit and can’t wait to remix both the pants and the blouse at work! I am also picturing this blouse with denim for an easy night out look with a leather jacket over the top. And I will continue to feel blessed and lucky each and every time I wear this and any other tall item because change is happening!
One last thing I wanted to touch on before I close out here is that at the end of last year we gauged interest on a “report card” series on the blog and a lot of you put in your request on which companies we should rate. We did track all of that information including how many people requested the same companies and we will be releasing our first one in March! We’re thankful that while we slacked getting it started, we were able to acquaint ourselves with so many new companies that we can now add into this fun series. We are both really excited to start this series, alas something else for us all to look forward to today.
As usual, if you have any questions, comments or concerns on this look or others drop a line below, email us or send a quick DM. We are here to help and today I challenge you to think of 5 things that make you feel blessed and perhaps a way you can make someone else feel blessed.
